Academy of Country Music announced additional artists to 18. Academy of Country Music Honors. Jamey Johnson, Miko Marks, Victoria Shaw participant in previously announced artists Luke Bryan, Russell Dickerson, Karen Fairchild, Carter Faith, Ashley Gorley, Amy Grant, Ashley McBryde, K. Michelle, Carly Pearce and Tucker Wetmore. The artists will take the scene to celebrate this year’s Honore’s Lori Badget, Eric Church, Luke Combs, Jessie Jo Dillon, Jelly Roll, Cody Johnson, Mac Mcanally, Rissi Palmer, Randy Travis, “Twisters,” Ben Vaughn and Lainy Wilson. Carly Pearce and Russell Dickerson host the event on August 20 in Nashville.
Pharrell Williams has launched Virgina, his creative alias, community platform and brand. Virginia is a destination where music, fashion, design and society converge and are both a pseudonym and a playground for experimentation, storytelling and direct connection. Pharrell shared, “Virginia is where I come from, but it’s also the one I’m creative. It’s my place to dream and a way to get in touch with people who also dream.”
Maroon 5 released their eighth studio album, Love is like which includes the title track “Love is like” with Lil Wayne. They start a National Us Arena Tour, which starts October 6th.
