Every couple of years is sinking Apple -Trove its hooks in a new “one thing” product that we are convinced will change all. Most recently it was Vision Pro. The next view in this long line of glory products? Next year’s folding iPhone.
This long rumored unit has been massively hyped in the last few years and there are many reasons to be excited. First, Apple is waiting until it thinks it is a concept of a concept before it launches a new product category. If it turns out to be true to the folding iPhone, we could be something really innovative.
The problem? I expect most people to simply not buy a folded iPhone.
The primary disadvantage is probably the price, which will undoubtedly be absolutely soaring. Foldable phones from other companies are already expensive due to both their high -tech components and their advanced positioning. Plus, this is apple we are talking about. The company is not shy to charge a prize for a polished, quality experience, especially for first generation units.
Folding phones are a niche product that has not yet found a mainstream audience.

In addition to that, folding phones are a real niche offering. Most of us simply do not need (or even want) such a device. A standard form factor phone performs the job for most average users, while Pro-Iphones serve the needs of enthusiasts. Only the most dedicated upgraders will have something like the folding iPhone.
It has the potential to be a tough opening round for Apple’s High-Stakes Gamble. But what if the next iPhone pearl is not off somewhere on the horizon, but rather already here, hides in the sight?
A taste of fresh air
Let’s cut straight to the hunt: I think iPhone Air will do as much of a splash among the world’s phone fanatics as the folding iPhone, if not more.
Apple fans click thin and lighten devices up in hop. After all, MacBook Air is one of the most popular laptops in the world. IPhone Air delivers all the slim and swelter goodness in heaps. And it’s remarkably innovative with the whole phone that is basically in the camera “Plateau” as Apple calls it.

There is a whole phone inside Air’s Camera Plateau.
Apple
Although it is a radical product, it is in many ways also the same iPhone that we know and love but improved. Compared to the iPhone 17 you get a thinner frame, excellent shelf life, a higher end chip, the same big promotional screen and some unique improvements-it is the only iPhone in the latest lineup that still has a titanium frame, first.
At the same time, there are not too many victims to be made. Apple promises you will have “battery life all day” and while the company was too COY to name raw figures, its site says iPhone Air gets up to 27 hours of video playback. It’s not that far behind the iPhone 17 Pro’s 31 hours. And sure there’s only a camera, but you can still take pretty good 48MP photos. 2x zoom is a bit disappointing, like the lack of macro mode, but it’s not the end of the world.
All considering its combination of an incredible design and impressive features could make the iPhone air a real hit. If I was looking for a new iPhone, I would be very tempted by its astonishing thinness that burdens its powerful internal. The folding iPhone, meanwhile, could go the way for Vision Pro: remarkable technology that few people really need or can afford.
The iPhone Air’s price of $ 999 is slightly higher than I was hoping for, but not too far away (and not surprisingly). Still, it’s far more accessible than the folding iPhone, which is expected to cost up to $ 2,000. In the end, it means iPhone Air gives you a taste of the future without costing anywhere near as much as the folding iPhone.
A hard pro -position
This is not to say that iPhone Air doesn’t have its matches. As for the device that could send a real challenge to Apple’s Ultra-Slimline device? That would be the iPhone 17 Pro.
IPhone Air’s price of $ 999 puts it dangerously close to the iPhone 17 Pro starting at $ 1,099. For $ 100 extra you get a long superior camera system, longer battery life and better performance with thermal power control. I wouldn’t be surprised at all to see many people choose the iPhone 17 Pro for the camera system alone, which is head and shoulders over everything you get with iPhone Air.

The iPhone 17 Pro is only $ 100 more than the air with a very superior camera system.
Apple
That said, the differences between the two iPhones are not huge. Your choice will probably hang on a question: Do you love to take photos and videos? In that case, get the iPhone 17 Pro. If not, you may be best served with iPhone Air.
In the end, it shows to be able to compete with the iPhone 17 Pro what a great deal of iPhone Air is. It’s far from the simplified “Thin iPhone 17” device that some might have expected before Apple’s launch event. I never expected it to go to toe – and surpass in some ways – the iPhone 17 Pro quite so effectively.
It puts iPhone air in a fantastic position. For me, it’s probably a far more compelling view than the folding iPhone. And after seeing Apple revealing it at his event Tuesday, I don’t think I’m the only one who feels that way.
