It wasn’t that long ago that 15W MagSafe was the fastest a magnetic wireless charger could deliver power to an iPhone? Since the launch of the latest Q1 2.2 technology, charger manufacturers have been racing to bring out wireless gadgets with the new top 25W speed.
While Apple was first to 25W, that speed was limited to only its one-trick pony MagSafe Charger, a solid but solitary pad at the end of a variable-length cable.
Since then, multiple device chargers have been shown to match the 25W Apple charger at its claimed 50% iPhone charge in “around 30 minutes”.

Q1 2.2 (aka Qi2 25W) is a new technology that takes 15W Qi2 and ups the power output to a possible 25W for the iPhone 16 and 17 models – except for the 16e (non-magnetic for some reason) and the iPhone Air (limited to 20W probably for thermal reasons).
In an ideal temperature-controlled environment staffed by people in white coats and with perfectly sealed doors and windows, 25W charging should mean you can charge one of the newer iPhones from 0% to 50% in 25 minutes. In a less clinical home or office, our testing shows that Qi 2.2 charging should reach that point in just over 30 minutes. It’s not that big of a difference, but the environment, charger and age of the device all affect how long charging takes.

Dinky design
Made from anodized aluminum alloy, the X40 Turbo feels sturdy despite its small size (folded) and weight.
Kuxiu has a range of products that squeeze charging points for up to three Apple devices into a small area, but this is the slimmest 3-in-1.
The X40 Turbo measures just 2.5 x 2.5 x 0.7 inches (6.4 x 6.4 x 1.8 cm) when folded and weighs 5.23 oz (148 g). Remarkably, it is 25% slimmer than the previous X40 model. It’s certainly the thinnest foldable of its kind that we’ve seen and tested.

It’s an incredibly small package when not in use and can easily be carried in your pocket. However, remember that you must have a USB-C wall charger and cable with you. Kuxiu has thoughtfully included both in a neat gray travel case that comes with the X40 Turbo.
The 3-in-1 charger can charge the magnetically connected iPhone at 25W and AirPods and Apple Watch at 5W each, meaning the watch is also fast-charged.

It’s available in black and grey, as you’d expect, but also (depending on where you buy from) a curious Wood Grain effect and a stunning orange for interested iPhone 17 Pro and 17 Pro Max owners.
Wireless travel rivals
The market for wireless travel chargers is one of the most diverse in a field of often me-too products.
Kuxius’ “X” series has been popular, and the X40 Turbo takes the term “compact” to the extreme. It all folds on top of itself to create an aluminum stack. It pulls out to form a short stand with the Apple Watch charger flipping out and the AirPods Qi pad under the iPhone.

Alternatives include the $139 25W Ugreen MagFlow 3-in-1 Magnetic Wireless Charger, which is twice as long and slightly deeper with the Apple Watch charging module pulled out from the bottom next to the AirPods pad.
The $89 Anker MagGo 3-in-1 Folding Wireless Charging Station stays at 15W Qi2 for now and is a more organic shell-like shape that folds out to create a longer flat strip.
All have their advantages: Ugreen creates a more stable stand, and Anker is cute and pocket-friendly. The Kuxiu 3-in-1 is somewhere in between: cute in size, if not its metal look, and creates a reasonably tall stand given its folded dimensions.
