The worst thing that happened this week
This week in Apple History
On August 7, 2006, Apple introduced Mac Pro. MAC Pro was part of the Intel roll -out when Apple switched over from PowerPC chips. It replaced the Power Mac G5 as Apple’s top workstation.
Mac Pro had two 64-bit, double-core Intel Xeon 5100 Woodcrest CPUs. The base model has a few 2.66 GHz CPUs, but you can upgrade it to two 3GHz CPUs.
It contained the same cheesegrates case as Power Mac G5. Apple continued to use this case until 2019.
In our review of Mac Pro in 2006, we said it was “almost the best high -performance workstations that money can buy,” but we also said that “Mac Pro also arrives in a world of software still in Flux.” Developers were still working on switching their apps from PowerPC code to Intel, so many apps had to use Apple ‘Rosetta emulation on Mac Pro.

Apple Music
Jason sent a video about the new ability to determine objects in Apple Music. This feature will be available in iOS 26. But of course people have thoughts of the music app.
What about Apple Music [lets] Me is only looking for my music instead of breaching their subscription service that I don’t have.
No & no on tiktok
I’m still waiting for the music transfer feature so you can transfer music.
Alex herds at Tiktok
I stopped using Apple Music and my Legacy Library there many years ago. Still open the app randomly but has moved on to services with more features. SUKK.

iPhone fold
In section 943 we talked about iPhone Fold Rummers. A listener had a comment.
Why is it that all Apple podcasters out there think the iPhone -Folden is not necessary or not significant? If I could carry an iPhone that would be unfolded into an iPad Mini I would be in ecstasy! Apple should have brought this out many years ago! Samsung will be in Generation 8 when Apple’s coincidental comes out and it’s just unforgivable! Apple has to get off his ass and stop being a supporter and start to be an innovation leader!
